HCG Trigger Side Effects
Do any of you ladies ever feel like you're prego bc of the HCG trigger side effects? I guess what I'm asking is if it could give you pg symptoms. How likely is it that it hasn't left my system yet and will give me a false BFP on an EPT? I want to take one so badly even though I know it's too early and they told me not to test until at least 13DPO. I'm currently 7DPO and since yesterday I've been feeling really bloated, crampy, starving and exhausted. I'm probably just PMSing. I hate obsessing! This is the longest 2WW ever bc of the IUI!

Re: HCG Trigger Side Effects
I really did not feel the side effects from the HCG injection, but i did feel side effects on the progesterone. That made me feel pg. I wish you tons of baby dust...

Re: HCG Trigger Side Effects
I just had the trigger shot on Sunday and the only thing I noticed was that I was really tired in the middle of the day. I think it takes awhile to leave your system because you can't test until about 14dpo or you risk a false positive. I hope this is the real thing for you! I know the wait is torturous but I don't buy HPT so I can't test.
Lots of baby dust

Re: HCG Trigger Side Effects
AAw, man ... I hate that these things give you false pg symptoms ... like we need to obsess over it even more than we do!
I don't think I can hold off with the HPT. I'm an addict! My RE told me to come in 13 days past my IUI. I wonder if she just made a mistake and meant 14 days??

Re: HCG Trigger Side Effects
See, I don't know what the symptoms are coming from. It could be the Clomid, it could be the shot, it could be that I'm mental which is likely....

Re: HCG Trigger Side Effects
HCG leaves you system in halves - for example, if you shot was 10,000u, the following day you have 5,000u in your system, the next 2,500 etc. so, it takes about 10 days to completely clear your system and you don't have to worry about a false positive.

I think it's just one of the injectiables for IVF. As for those of us using REs, it's used to make a woman ovulate at a specific time that way they have a better idea of when to do IUI.

Thanks - I didn't know this. It's very helpful.

Why can't our REs tell us this?? THANK YOU! God, I love this board. So I'll test on Saturday, 10 days after my HCG shot. 2 more days of no test I can deal with I think. Thanks again!
