not feeling pregnant?
I'm between 8-9 weeks, I've had a sono at 6 weeks and go again on Monday. I don't feel pregnant...I don't have morning sickness, my boobs hurt but not bad. I'm not tired just lazy. Anyone else feel this way at first?

Re: not feeling pregnant?
Did you have a sono at 6 weeks for a specific reason? I ask only because I thought you have to be 8 weeks.

I don't know - called the dr. the day I found out I was preggo and they told me they like to see you at 6 weeks. They did a sono, we saw the heartbeat and made another appoint for 3 weeks later, 9-10 weeks. Which I'm told this is a long appointment.

Re: not feeling pregnant?
I am finishing my 9th week and I also had an ultrasound at 6 1/2 weeks, saw the heartbeat and am going back next Wed.
I think you are lucky not to be having the same symptoms I am having...so sick feeling... but I wouldn't worry too much. did you have symptoms that went away? I am sure everything is fine. My sister was the opposite of me..no symptoms..her boobs didn't get bigger or hurt...she started feeling "pregnant" at 4 mths instead, but now she has the most beautiful baby boy!

i'm about 8 1/2 weeks too and I'm exactly the same way. no real morning sickness, my boobs hurt in the very beginning, but not so much anymore and my tiredness is probably more like laziness too! i haven't had an ultrasound yet so i'm so nervous that maybe i'm not really pregnant or that something is not right. i don't have my 1st ultrasound for another 4 weeks!

Lily- just curious, why the wait for the ultrasound?

it's just their standard practice. i was a bit disappointed. i think they would do one if there was any question about dating the pregnancy, but since my periods were always regular they weren't concerned. they told me at the next appointment (12 weeks) if they don't hear a heartbeat they would do one, but other wise nothing. they don't do one until 20 weeks in the office! but, i'm going for the triple screen at 13 weeks so i will get one then.

Re: not feeling pregnant?
When I went for my first appointment at 6 week - all they did was a sono, nothing else. No advice on what to eat, didn't tell me what to expect, Nothing. I go on monday for the 9-10 week sono and this is when I get to ask questions.

Re: not feeling pregnant?
With my son I did not feeling anything at all for my entire pregnancy. All I felt were his movements around 15 weeks. This pregnancy is different already I feel very neausous (sp?) and extremely tired.
BTW: Info about early sonos, some DR do them to confirm that the embryo is in the uterus and not the ovary.
What is everyones due date?
My date is 3/10

Re: not feeling pregnant?
although I'm 17 weeks 2 days...I went for my first sono at 7.5 weeks. Your first sono is between 6-8 weeks and it's to date the pregnancy and find the heartbeat--sometimes 6 weeks is too early.
At this point, I STILL do not FEEL PG!!! I'm still a little lazy and aside from the belly....I'm my normal self. I had no morning sickness but was very tired in the beginning.
Good Luck to all you 1st trimester girls!

Yes, me! I'm so glad I am not the only one, I was starting to get nervous even though I just had a sono at 7 weeks and I saw the heartbeat and everything looks fine. I'm hoping I don't get sick!

Re: not feeling pregnant?
For my first child, I had no symptoms at all.. in fact I was 11 1/2 weeks preggo when I found out, b/c I was even spotting.. sorry if TMI...
This one I am soooo sick..
I would much rather have no symptoms... You'll feel like you are, once your belly starts growing and when the baby starts moving!! Good Luck!!

Re: not feeling pregnant?
Every DR is different...therefore does things differently...If I wouldve know when my last pd. was I would not of had a sono at 8 weeks either...
I did not feel preg at all up until a month or so ago (I am now 7 months)...In the beg. I had such bad fatigue it was hard to make it through the day, however at first it was hard to blame that on pregnancy...
I ended up renting a doppler because it was the only confirmation I was preg.
I use to complain about not feeling pg. and everyone was like..you dont know how lucky you are.. ANd now (although its the coolest feeling in the world) the kicking and the movement, and the pressure, and the acid reflux... I feel preg.. and so uncomfortable...
I cant complain though..it didnt come until the last months...

Re: not feeling pregnant?
Consider yourself truly, truly luck to miss out on some of the pains of pregnancy, particularly the nauseau But, beware! I had early symptoms, but not so bad... they didn't start getting AWFUL until about week 9 or 10!!
