Re: Satellite Radio
I have XM and wanted that because I happen to be an Opie and Anthony fan. XM has better equipment and accessories at the moment but I'm sure that Siris will eventually catch up. I would base the choice on what each company actually offers. Each one has contracts with different celbs and hosts. Pick the one that has more of what he likes.

Re: Satellite Radio
We have Sirius. DH got it last year and this year he was offered my receiver w/ a rebate so I now have it in my car. Not sure which one is "better". We both listen to Stern and DH got Sirius before he made the announcement so I guess we got lucky.
I really like it for all of the news channels as well.

Re: Satellite Radio
I heard that if you get Sirius and want to listen to Stern...you're going to have to pay an additional charge.

check out the different types of music stations. I liked what Sirrus had over XM. I'm sure they are both equally as good.
Both offer so many different receivers to choose from...Check out which ones have better write-ups.

Re: Satellite Radio
I have Sirius; they have better rock stations than XM.
Also, from what i hear for XM you need to pay for everything extra... if you want to listen online its extra, if you want O&A its extra, etc etc. Sirius you basically get everything for the same price. This may have changed that though, I had heard this a couple of months ago.
Sirius also has NPR, while XM does not; and that is important to some people.
Check the channel selection on each; and see which feeds you likes better.
If you click on the 'Listen' button on the Sirius website you can get a free 3 day online pass to the site; and you can listen to most of the stations online, just to get a feeling what it is like.

they did away with the extra charge for O & A...it's just a flat price now and you can get a free online trial of XM as well....one trial per e-mail address.

Re: Satellite Radio
Sirius has all commercial free stations and from what I understand XM is not 100% commercial free...
I love my Sirius
