Is the number of my blood test too low????
I just found out that i am, in fact, preggo. Im so excited, yet so nervous after reading about all of this chemical pregnacy stuff. My doctor say the number was 83 and said it was low.
Im hoping that that low number has something to do with me just being 12 dpo. I havent even missed my AF yet???
Does 83 sound to low? I wish I can stop friggin reading all these bad things on the internet!!!!

It sounds fine to me. Do they have you coming back in 2 days to make sure it's doubling?
hope this helps

Re: Is the number of my blood test too low????
I was only 24 at 11 dpo and I'm 12 weeks now.
eta - the doubling is what's more important. You should go back in a couple of days for a second beta and it should at least double.
I had my first test on a friday at 11 dpo = 24 Second test on Monday 14 DPO = 183.

At 11dpo my number was around 31 so I'd say it's perfectly fine! I don't know why the doctor told you that. Personally, it all depends on when you implanted.

If you got your blood tested yesterday, you should test today to see if the numbers double. 83 is not low for 12dpo- 25 is when you can get a reading on sensitive POAS.

I dont think 1 day is enough time.. you should wait a week... they arent sopposed to double everyday.. they are sopposed to double every 2 to 3 days..You need to wait AT least 3 days

Re: Is the number of my blood test too low????
Its not about how low the number is (everything has to start low!) what matters is that it increases at an acceptable rate. My RE said an acceptable rate was a MINIMUM of of an increase of 66% over a 48 hour span. You are preggo and should celebrate that! Congrats!

Re: Is the number of my blood test too low????
I personally think that beta is excellent !!! It really wouldn't be much higher at 12 dpo !!! It all depends on what day you implanted as well. Like all the other posters said, it's about the increase in hcg (doubling rate)..then the actual amount.
