the new trend in tv shows..
has any1 noticed the new trend lately in the tv line up..at one point tv has a lot of cop shows such as csi..then it was the reality tv phase..and now i think the genre is a main topic that the show will span out from hence the titles of the most recent shows..lol
vanished: centered around a woman who disappears
kidnapped: centered around a person who is kidnapped
standoff: centers around hostage negotiation...
 just an observation

Hmmmm....
single word titles that revolve around mysteries and disapperances.
Sounds like LOST to me!!
That's always the trend. They find the one good show from previous seasons and try to redo it to death!!

I just hate the fact that they are all continuing stories- like if you don't watch it from the beginning, you don't know what is going on. It's like soap operas. All of these new shows seem like they should be movies- and they just break them down into 1 hour segments once a week.

I really think reality is still taking over
yes there are the little dramas like Vanished and what not but i do not see it being as big as the Cop and Law shows...they are still ahaead i think...
but reality TV...that has a life of its own...

They're following 24's format since it was such a success. If these take off like that one did they'll keep going until we're completely inundated with this type of show until we can't stand it anymore. Kind of like reality shows..

Me too.
I just realized the other night when I watched the Emmy's that I only watch hour-long-drama's.
I need a show like the Cosby Show or something.
