ebay sellers- i have a quick question
when your bidding is done and you are ready to send your item, how do you go about packaging it? do you wrap it in brown paper if its already in a box or do you buy separate boxes?
Can you just explain to me how it works once you have a final bid? I just put items up for sale yesterday and have one bid...so i just want to be prepared.
TIA

I believe the post office will let you use recycled boxes as long as you cross out any writing with a big black marker. Wrapping with brown paper would work for that also.
9 times out of 10 I ship via priority mail since you get free boxes from the post office and free delivery confirmation if you print the label through USPS.com or paypal. They have a variety of boxes and envelopes and I just use the most appropriately sized one. I like that they also have a flat rate box & letter envelope so you can jam as much in there for one price. I figure the shipping cost is close to the same as first class when I add the cost of the envelopes.
Good luck with your auctions.

thank you! Maybe that would be better than sending through ups then... I'll have to do that next time!

Re: ebay sellers- i have a quick question
If its something that can break I woulnt use a brown paper bag. I either use the priority boxes or the boxes Ihave collected from retail stores before they throw them away. If its anything at all that could possibly break.. I make sure it fits tightly in the box with crumpled newspaper
