NutriSystem - anyone?
My DH did the men's version of it and lost 70 lbs in 4 months. I am thinking of getting the women's version - I want to lose the 30lbs I gained since I met DH!
Has anyone done it recently?

I'm doing it now. I started on 9/9 and I'm already down 12 lbs. I'd probably be down even more except I cheated a few times this past week.

Pricewise, I'm going to be honest, it's expensive. Though, DH and I figured out that it's actually less than we spend on groceries and getting food out, it's a lot when you spend it all at once.
Tastewise, I think it's actually pretty yummy. You get your occasional item that tastes like cardboard (like their muffins! ), but for the most part, I haven't had any bad experiences.
ETA: I didn't put the price. I had a $15 discount and free shipping and paid $260 for the month (28 breakfasts, 28 lunches, 28 dinners, and 28 snacks/desserts). It's actually not TOO horrendous.

Re: NutriSystem - anyone?
DH and I just started this plan today. I'm happy to read some success stories here. Way to go, Kristin!!
And Jen -- your husband did awesome - wow!!
Actually I signed up earlier last week, and got all my food this past Friday. I officially weighed myself this AM and started today. Dh decided he was going to sign up as well so he's sharing my food until his arrives later in the week.
Im glad he's doing it with me.. its easier for us that we are doing it TOGETHER since we are truly such bad influences on each other ... but I'm really positive about this. I really needed to do something, having gained 30 pounds since my wedding and DH has gained nearly 50 pounds since we met!
Actually just an FYI - I had been on NutriSystem YEARS ago (probably about 10 years or more) The food was never horrible IMO, but I think its better now actually. Back then I used to go to the NutriSystem location and get weighed in and order the food weekly. But I like doing this all online and ordering the food (I signed up for auto shipping, which drops the price down a bit). I never liked weight watchers, and cannot do lo carb.. and once I spend the$$ I KNOW I will stick to this
I had a lot of success with this plan all those years ago.. lost nearly 30 pounds...so I figured I'd try it again
And it does seem like a lot of $$ upfront, but really when DH and I added it up .. with all the money we spend grocery shopping, and ordering out/eating out.. we are actually SAVING money this way. The only things we need to buy now are fruit, veggies and a few other minor items, but otherwise the food plan covers it all
Hopefully we can get a small group started here and support each other.. Lord knows I need the help!!
GOOD LUCK everyone

Re: NutriSystem - anyone?
I saw a commercial (with the Joe Millionaire girl) offering a free week of food with a 4 week order.
