This is driving me nuts and I need help...?? about clothes smelling when they come out of the dryer
Lately, when I take clothes out of the dryer, they smell moldy/mildewy. I do NOT leave them in the washer, I move them over as soon as they cycle is done, I use detergent and fabric softener and usually they smell so nice, but now they don't!
I even cleaned out the washer with bleach, thinking maybe it was something in there, but it seems to be the dryer.
Any ideas? I hate this
ETA: This has only been happening for the last week or two

I use the liquid fabric softner in the washer, then fabric sheets in the dryer! Crazy, I know but sometimes the clothes wouldnt smell "fresh". I dont know what causes it. Also, I like my towels as soft as possible!

Yes I h ad that too- strange so I started using fabric softener sheets in the dryer and it seems to work so far.

Maybe it is just the plain old humidity making it smell.

Try leaving your washing maching top open if you can. Sometime with the humdity and the dampness this can happen. Since I have been doing that I haven't had any problems.
ETA I mean leave it open when you are done using it

I've also heard of running the washer with no clothes in it, but a few tablespoons of baking powder or bleach to get the smell out.

you might be putting too much clothes in the dryer so they really arent able to move around and air out as much. Does that make sense?

I use Fabreze Laundry Additive...it takes out all the smells in the laundry. I haven't had any problems with that smell since I started using it!
