In lieu of inventing a totally new moniker, the members of the band formed on the CBS show went for something more obvious.
Lukas Rossi, the anointed frontman for Rock Star: Supernova
Following a court order forcing them to change their name, the band formed on CBS' Rock Star: Supernova have opted to call themselves -- wait for it -- Rock Star: Supernova. Yep, after a judge ordered that the band could not be named Supernova, since another band have held that moniker for 17 years, Tommy Lee, Jason Newsted, Gilby Clarke, and new addition Lukas Rossi agreed to just use the name of the show that spawned them. "It's going to be Rock Star: Supernova. That's their actual name," a spokeswoman for the group's label, Epic Records, told Reuters. The band's debut album will be released Nov. 21. all they had to do is get a little creative

they could totally have changed their name instead of keeping Rockstar:Supernova
