WORK RANT!!!!
So I have to vent....
I am doing a report for a client and waiting to get back information that we outsouce and have no control of how long it takes. I've had correspondence with my client to let her know we'll have by tomorrow, well that wasn't good enough.
She then emailed my boss and asked her to expedite the request, which just got bounced back to me. She didn't even tell my boss that I've been in touch with her to tell her what's going on and she's making me look like I just blew her off.
Was it necessary to go over me and contact my boss, how old are we?

ugh. how annoying. I'd forward the emails you have had with her to the boss so she knows you didn't blow this woman off

Good idea...That's exactly what I'm going to do....
That's what I would do too. Or respond to one of her last emails and cc your boss on it, saying you ARE working on it "as per our last conversation this morning"

I actually have to give her an update now and will do that as well. Just to let my boss see that I have been keeping her updated.
