Question for the mommies with poll...
We received the high chair we registered for as well as the booster seat. Both are highly rated and we had registered for both. However, some friends have told me that the high chair is a waste and that the booster seat can be used as a high chair, plus you can take it anywhere. So what would you do? TIA

Hayley loves her high chair. I put her in it, and wheel her into the kitchen when I am cooking, she sits in it when we are eating, I wheel her into where the computer is....I love it too

If I had thought to get the booster seat I would have returned my high chair but it was put together and we've used it already. Most of the people I know just use the booster seat that has the tray and they love it.

We have the Healthy Care Booster Seat by Fisher Price. It has a tray and we have not taken the high chair out of the box yet.

I would definitely keep both! The baby will play in the chair long after he's finished eating!

Re: Question for the mommies with poll...
We didn't have much space in our kitchen, so I returned the high chair and kept the FP booster seat and it was the best decision I made, personally. I love it. My daughter loved it and had no problems sitting in it for a while. We just bought a few toys to attach to it. Also, I believe FP now makes a booster seat with a toy tray.
ETS It's great because when we only had one child, we use to still go out and eat a decent amount and I use to just unhook it and fold it up and take it with us. Even over to friend's houses. The added bonus was that she was use to sitting in it and it's so much cleaner than the highchairs restaurants have. So even if you keep the highchair, this is a great product.

Re: Question for the mommies with poll...
With Joseph used both - booster for grandma's house, the high chair for my house. With Maddie, we just used the booster.

I bought this booster seat from Buy Buy Baby for $29, made by Summer. We keep it at Grandma's house.

Re: Question for the mommies with poll...
IMO, you can totally do without the highchair. I never used it with my daughter (baby #2), I have a reclining booster that did the trick and took up so much less room. And was easier to clean too.

Re: Question for the mommies with poll...
I have both and got more than enough use out of them. He still uses his high chair for every meal, and I use the booster seat when we visit other people. I also have a hook-on chair that I love, but we didn't get a ton of use out of that. So I voted to keep both.

And you could use them both once your baby girl arrives!
