Baby Weight Question-prenatal
My little at 32 weeks weighed 4lbs 13oz. My dr told me she is going to be on the high side of normal.
My question is
how much did your baby weigh at around 32 weeks, then how much at birth?
I am trying to gauge how much she's going to weigh and exactly what in the h@ll the high side of normal means.
thanks a bunch!!

Re: Baby Weight Question-prenatal
When do they tell you how much your baby weighs and how do they know that information? my Dr. never told me how much my baby weighs.

They told me at my 32 week growth sono. I am not sure how they gauge the baby's weight, the tech told me. Then told me she's gonna be big

Re: Baby Weight Question-prenatal
My baby was estimated to be 8.5 lbs 2 days before i was going to give birth.
Well, she weighed 7 lbs 6 oz - so i don't believe doctors are always right with their estimations.

Re: Baby Weight Question-prenatal
i never had a sono to determine the weight, but my dr. thought i was going to have a 7 to 7 1/2 pound baby. and everyone kept telling me i was going to have a tiny baby because of the way i carried. well, my son was 9 lbs 5 oz!

Re: Baby Weight Question-prenatal
I have no clue....they did not do estimated weight sonos for me.
When we went for our 40 week appt, we asked the NP what she thought the baby weighed and she said 7 1/2 lbs...Alyson was born 2 days later at 7 lbs 10 oz
