Ok, seriously, I'm worried about Ava....
She's sleeping SOOOOOOOOOO much. She doesn't appear to have a fever, but after she woke up from her long night of sleep at 8am, she had a 5oz. bottle, and slept from 9-10am, then she was up for another hour, had another 5oz. bottle and slept for another two hours. Then she was up from about 1:30-2:30 on her playmat, and when I went in to make her bottle, I came back and she was asleep on her playmat. JT said she fussed for a couple of seconds and passed out. Do you think she is ok? I'm so nervous because she hasn't slept this much since she was a couple of weeks old.

no my son is almost a year and still sleeps a lot during the day. His morning sounds just like your daughters. I also noticed on rainy days he sleeps more.

I wouldn't worry about it, growing is hard work and her body is working hard at growing!!! She has a lot of intake of calories to do and not much physically to do to use them!
Relax, enjoy it! Go sit under a tree and have a Gin and Tonic...soon enough she will start to CRAWL!!!

Rach - she just got her shots, right? Cause after Ali got her - she was like this, sleep all the time and slept through the times for her feedings.
And honestly even know 3 weeks later, she still sleeps alot - not as much, but more than she did.

Tori went through a similiar phase at right around Ava's age. A little growth spurt makes them very tired.

Aly has says where she sleeps A LOT and other days where she barely sleeps. at this age - I think its normal. The dr told me she should be napping a minimum of FIVE hours in the afternoon

Ok, thank you girls! I feel better now. She's up now (actually, I'm feeding her as I type ) She must be having a growth spurt because she recently began eating 5oz a feeding.

Emily always was very sleepy when she had her shots for a few days afterwards. I wouldn't worry too much -- she's just sleepy for whatever reason. Enjoy the extra time to get stuff done or catch up on some as well!!
