anyone else workout/exercise pretty hard?
just wondering if anyone else works out now that they are pregnant - and how hard you work out - now I'm paranoid I did too much and hurt my baby

Re: anyone else workout/exercise pretty hard?
I'm still dancing 4 times a week because that's my job. But since I teach kids, there's a lot of lull time in the lessons. so even though I may dance hard for a minute or two, there's always rest time.

I believe (I'm not a dr) but as long as you were exercising this way before you got pregnant it's okay to continue. Have you spoken to your Dr?

Re: anyone else workout/exercise pretty hard?
I continued my normal routine of lifting weights 4x a week plus 30 minutes of cardio up until just recently. Now that I'm in my 3rd tri, I'm really really tired after work. I stick to just working out lightly and only on the weekends or when I have energy.

Re: anyone else workout/exercise pretty hard?
first trimester was hard to keep up my routine b/c I felt nauseous and tired - but I did what I could
2nd trimester was much better
now in my 3rd I'm tired too after work LOL
and......my doc just called b/c after my scare last night (was dilated 1cm! and cervix was thinned out) she said to rest the entire week - no work - AHHHHHHHHHHHHH!

Oh no!
I HAVE to exercise - it's the only thing that controls my headaches. In fact I just ran 4 miles - slower than usual.

My doctor said to do less weight and more reps. He also recommened the stationary bike and the treadmill for cardio, rather than the stairmaster or elliptical.

Re: anyone else workout/exercise pretty hard?
I stopped my daily yoga routine as soon as I found out I was pregnant, I did not want to risk anything... I kept up with walking in my 2nd trimester and now in 3rd am way too tired and uncomfy to do much! I can't wait to return to yoga and walking!

I did, until recently. The baby is moving too much- I can't handle it. So far everything is good.
