The one thing that I had to go out and get was the side snap undershirts. These are the best in the beginning since you don't want anything rubbing against the belly button area. I would get a bunch of them so you don't have to keep doing laundry.

Ditto on the side snap undershirts. You don't want to use the onesies until the umbilical cord stub falls off.
Stuff to have...
Blankets for swaddling
Viva paper towels to use as wipes (the hospital told us not to use regular wipes until after 6 weeks)
Burp clothes
Changing table covers (at least three)
Extra sheets for bassinet or crib
Waterproof sheet for crib
Mittens to cover baby's hands so they don't scratch themselves
Outfit for baby to come home in (including hat)
Bottles if you are formula feeding or pumping
bottle brush
bottle drying rack
microwave sterilizer
baby care kit (thermometer, bulb syringe...)
Mmm...that's all I can think of right now
P.S. Good Luck!!!

Re: WILL BE A NEW MOM IN 3 WEEKS NEED SOME HELP
If you are a mommy like me...You take EVERYTHING from the hospital!!
I left the hospitals with ALOT of formula, side snap onsies, diapers, vaseline, alchoal swabs & blankets. They refill the babies stuff everytime they return to the nursery. So as I was told by a nurse when I had Patrick..take everything. So I did w/ him & then again when I had the twins. They are some of the basic stuff you need for the first weeks.
I would suggest getting some NB size clothes. This is not preemie it's newborn & smaller then the 0-3 month clothes. Don't wash them until you get home. If you have a large baby you won't need them. My girls were 6lbs 4 oz each & the 0-3 months just seemed huge. But, NB was a good size. And the wore them for the first 2 moths.
MAke sure you have Dreft or baby detergent.
All the best for a great delivery!!

Ditto...
I also loved the swaddle me blanket in the beg. He always seemed more comfy in that vs. me swaddling him!
