Feeding Schedule Question...
This is the oldest one in the book...can the mothers of 4-5 month olds please let me know their feeding schedules.
How important is it to do it at the same time everyday...do I need to do 2 or 3 meals a day??? When can I give him the vegetables that I lovingly made for him???
I could read about this in a book, but getting info from you real life people (I think real life people...) is more fun.

Re: Feeding Schedule Question...
I posted about this not too long ago because my son is a BIG boy and his ped was saying he needs to cut back, but I don't feel like I over feed him. Logan's schedule is like this 6:30- 3-4 tbs of Barley, 6oz. juice/water bottle 8:30- 6 1/2 ounce bottle 11:30- 6 1/2 ounce bottle 2:30- 6 1/2 ounce botle 6:00- 3-4 tbs of Oatmeal (usually doesn't finish now with veg), 6 oz. juice/water, 1/2 jar of sweet potatoes 8:30- 6 1/2 ounce bottle to bed
He gets juice/water to help his digestive system. My friend gives her son the veg alone just around 2pm, then a bottle an hour later. 5 of my friends had children within 2 months of me and ALL of our peds say a different thing. Go with your instincts.

Re: Feeding Schedule Question...
Are you really strict with times? Do you stick to those times to give him bottles food etc?
I am too lazy to be so disciplined, but I am trying to stick with the same times for his breakfast and his dinner...

Re: Feeding Schedule Question...
I just feed her when she is hungry, although I am trying to get her to eat solids now.
The only thing consistant is her bottle right before bed, although she seems to be falling into a pattern on her own.

Re: Feeding Schedule Question...
Alyson will be 5 months on the 5th. our routine goes like this...times vary because our schedule varies.
lately it's been 6/6:30am: most or all of a 7 oz bottle anywhere between 8-9am 4 tbsp of oatmeal and 1/2 container of pears (I started this with bananas since they were binding her up). lunch 11:30-1pm (depending on breakfast) 1 container of new food (we're on squash now) and 30-60 min later, a bottle.
3-4ish: bottle although I've been trying the cereal at this feeding instead of her last one to see if it makes a difference in her gas. If I don't do cereal now, it's a bottle
6-6:30ish: cereal and/or bottle.
Bedtime. I'm not strict on times and sometimes she takes the whole bottle, other times not. Sometimes I throw in 3 oz of watered down apple juice.
I'm wondering if I should be doing baby food with both cereal feedings as well as what the new item is in the middle of the day.
