Birth Announcements, thanks yous, holiday cards
I am stuck on what to do for my little guy. When you all had your babies, did you do birth announcements and seperate thank yous or did you combine them. I think that I want to do photo announcements and then send some holiday cards just to family members.
Any suggestions?

Re: Birth Announcements, thanks yous, holiday cards
I did birth announcements that had matching thank yous. The Thank you's had JAcob Aaron on the front.. They were made by a comany called Sweet Pea.
Just remember if you do that, order way more thank yous than announcements since you will be getting gifts from people that come out of the wood works..... I am still getting gifts 3 months later..

Since you just had your little one, I'd do a combo holiday card/ birth annoucement. Something where you say the best gifts come in small packages or something like that where you can send holiday wishes and also a birth announcement.
As for TY's I just bought some cute ones at Target and kept a stash on hand. I didn't do custome TY's.

I am pretty sure Michele31 did a combo holiday card and birth announcement. SonicStef desinged them so you can see it on her website. It was really nice!!!
I would definitely combine the holiday card and birth announcement and just write out regular thank you's.

I did a combo holiday card/birth annoucement. SonicStef designed it for me. It is on her sight www.sonicstef.com, under Molly or Michele.
I wrote out a thank you for every gift I got. I believe in writing out a thank you as its own card. JMO

I am doing a combined Annoucement and Christmas card from winkflash.com. I wrote out thank yous for each gift he got.

I would Shutterfly and announcement and a holiday card. For the folks who would get each, stuff each of them into the same envelope.

You can do a holiday announcement....to dave on sending it to the world twice.. you can say the announcement and then say happy holidays or happy new year at the end..
And then you have do seperate thank yous..
I got myannouncements from baby'shere.com and i was very happy with them.. i did jillians first birthday invites from Stork Ave.com with matching than you's they were really reasonable also...

One cute thing is to take a picture of the baby holding up a sign or with a sign that says "Thank you" and get TONS of them printed -- then whenever someone gives you a gift send them the photo as a thank you -- either as a postcard or in an evenlope. They'll also have a pic of the baby to frame or carry around with them and show off then.
