YAY.... WE CLOSED TODAY w/ pic
The closing only took 45 minutes!! Very smooth.
Here's a picture of the outside of the house. Don't be fooled, the inside needs major work as the kitchen and baths are all original 1971... avacado green! We are replacing the oil tank, rewiring the entire house, putting in CAC, new kitchen with vaulted ceiling and skylights, expanding the master bath, finishing the basement and other little projects... molding, hardwood floor in the living room, refinishing original floors, etc.
We will close on our current house by Dec 1 the latest, will move in with IL's until about March when all of the work should be done on our new house. When all of the work's done we will get working on making little people to live in the other bedrooms

Thanks for all of the well wishes.
Probably in May when the weather is better and we have the entire house painted.
Met with George and Brian this afternoon, the father and son team who my FIL uses for most of his kitchens. They are rip out and redo of the kitchen and bathrooms.
Electrician will come in after rip out to re-wire the house and put in a new box and conduit into the house.
Next CAC installed and oil tank removed and replaced with a new one outside.
Then George and Brian come back and redo the kitchens and baths, build a master closet, put in all new interior doors, finish the basement (if we have any money left).
Respackle the walls, sand, paint. I may have to wait on the crown moulding.
Then it's PARTY time.
Oh and I met my neighbors across the street. SAme last name but they have one more letter on the end of theirs... how weird is that? Talk about getting mixed up mail
