My unsuccessful trip for returning gifts!!!

My unsuccessful trip for returning gifts!!!
So the jewelry store where I think the earrings came from was closed!
So then I go to Bath & Bodyworks with the gift set my in-laws got me. I didn't have the receipt and there was no sticker on it so they had to look it up. Well, it was $50, which surprised me! But now all of the gift sets are on major sale so I would only get about $28 for it without the receipt. I almost did it, but I ended up taking it back because there are so many great things on sale there that it is a shame to lose all that money. Guess I'm going to have to ask the in-laws for the receipt! Gulp!

Could you say that you have products of that scent already and want to change for a different set with a different scent?

I'm going to, or I'm just going to be honest and say the scent doesn't agree with me - I just hate that actual moment of having to ask!! Also, cause I'm scared then they will ask if I really like the earrings!
