Can you return formula anywhere for credit?

BRU lets you return for formula or diapers I believe. I know I have returned it there.

I know if you bought it in Target and you have a receipt, they will let you but you have to have the receipt.

BRU will only let you return formula for formula. They will not give you a store credit, at least not the one in Sayville.

I've brought back formula to BRU and Target to exchange for a different type bc I didn't have the reciept. If you have the receipt, I'm just they'll just give the money bacl.

BRU told me that you can only exchange it (without a receipt) for another type of formula. Something about NYS law regarding food. I didn't really understand why I could exchange it for different formula, but to exchange it for diapers was a no-no.
Same thing at Walmart, but you needed a receipt.
