Lowering the mattress

Mine is still set on the top and Jared is 8 months. When did you lower yours?
TIA!

Re: Lowering the mattress

Our crib has 3 settings. When Sarah started sitting up I lowered it all the way, since all my BTDT friends told me that about a month later she'd figure out how to pull up and then I'd have to lower it again. They were right, it's amazing how fast they figure this stuff out!

Re: Lowering the mattress

We lowered it one notch at 7 months because I found Abby on all fours in her crib. Then at 8 months she started pulling herself up and standing so we lowered it all the way.

We just followed her signals.

Re: Lowering the mattress

At 6.5-7 months we lowered one notch because he started pulling up and sitting up on his own. About 2 weeks later - he perfected the pull up and we needed to lower it all the way - he starting throwing out his pacis and reaching out over the top to get them...my advice is go right to the lowest setting when you lower - it goes very quickly.

Same here. We should have just lowered it all the way though because two weeks later we lowered it to the lowest setting.

Same here. HE was able to sit up on his own then, and there wasn't a huge difference between the middle and lowest level, so we just put it all the way down.

Re: Lowering the mattress

The morning I came into his room and he was standing and trying to hoist himself over (when he was 6.5 months old), I lowered it all the way.
