Question about OPKs (positive then negative?)
I've been testing on OPKs almost twice a day, I know that it's not normal and i'm crazy Yesterday I tested around 2:00 pm and it looked like it was positive. Last night I tested around 10:00 and it was negative. Does this mean that i've o'd already?or maybe the test was wrong? I did drink a lot of water after I tested the first time. I am feeling ovary pains and over the weekend had EWCM. However my chart indicates I have not O'd yet. I'm so confused!
Here is my chart if you can make any sense out of it. link to chart

Re: Question about OPKs (positive then negative?)
The unfortunate thing about opks is that they aren't reliable for a lot of women. Especially women who have pcos. One of the causes of pcos is that the LH rises, but doesn't always surge. In other words, you can get a lot of false positives on opks. The follicule won't always ovulate in pcos women either because the follicule isn't mature enough (measured by estradoil) or the body is not producing "enough" Lh to make the follicule (rupture). Many women in this situation need hcg trigger shots...
Based on your chart, you haven't ovulated yet....and today is a big dip, which could be the rise in estradoil. Definitely bd today.
Btw, it's recommended to use opks 2x a day when you are close to O time...because LH surges quickly. So you are far from crazy !!!

Re: Question about OPKs (positive then negative?)
Your right, I read this in the brochure in the OPK kit. It's difficult to detect w/Pcos. I was going to call my RE to schedule and u/s. I will probably still call and make the appointment. I will mention to her the trigger shot. I remember her saying the next step would be clomid but if the trigger shot could do it I would like to try that first.
Okay, I will bd tonight. Hopefully if i'm ovulating right now I won't miss it my O tonight.
LOL...thanks so much for all the information.
