We got our best quote with Met Life ($560 for the year) with a decent quote from State Farm. Travelers gave us an incredibly high quote.

We have ours through Allstate. We got a multi-policy discount bc our car insurance is through them also.

I have my car insurance through them too and they won't quote home insurance. They are "tighten" up...whatever that means. I think they are getting out of the home insurance market???

Allstate was a pain to deal with. They only write policys in certain areas... if they feel its in their best interest.
I got my lowest rate from Liberty Mutual.

Re: Recommendations for home insurance????
we have state farm. I got quotes from allstate and geico and both were a lot more $$ than statefarm. However, we still havegeico for car insurance b/c they are a lot less than state farm for our car -- even with us having them for house insurance.

Re: Recommendations for home insurance????
I had State Farm for years then got a better rate from MetLife so switched.
My DH has car ins through them so there is a discount for having 2 policies as well as a group discount because he gets it through his union. Payments for both car & home ins is deducted weekly pre-tas from his check.
