Pics of our living room...
I'm going to need some ideas on what colors to use to paint with.
Please don't mind the mess!
This is the living room. It's a yellowish color on the 2 main walls and on the molding of the fireplace and the wall that the fireplace is on is a burgundy/maroon color and the opposite wall is burgundy/maroon as well. I guess it's called accent walls? (I'm so out of the loop) Now I think it looks ok, but it does not match our furniture at all. I was thinking of painting the 2 accent walls a dark gray and the other walls a lighter gray and the trim white? As you can see our couches are a greenish color and our coffee table, entertainment center and end tables are black, and recliner is black. I thought it might look nice, but I'm not sure. We then have wood blinds on the 2 BIG windows in the living room, but they're a dark brown color. I guess we would need to get white? I don't know. If there's anyone that can help with the colors I'd really appreciate it! Thanks!
Also... you notice all the dark wood trim? YUCK!!! Our kitchen cabinets are the same color. I can't wait to paint everything! Image Attachment(s):

Re: Pics of our living room...
Pictures often skew colors ... In person, what color green are the couches would you say? Sage-y? Gray-ish? Mint green-ish? Kelly green-ish?

They're a Sage green. They're pretty much the same color that you see.

Re: Pics of our living room...
If it was me, I would do grey walls and white trim. I would paint that accent wall around the fireplace the same color as your couch. BTW, your son and dog are both very cute

Thanks everyone...
Would you paint the other maroon wall the same green color or just the grey? Thanks!

Re: Pics of our living room...
Hmm, I think that I would do grey on that other wall. I like the idea of having the fireplace as the focal point so I think I would just do the wall around that green. Good luck and don't forget to show us pics when you're all done!

Yes, your son is adorable, and so are your huskeys! My sister has a siberian huskey. They are such nice dogs.
