what helps your baby sleep better at night..
any suggestions? baths before bed, etc.???

Our Routine is:
Bath Time
Dressed in PJs, massage with lotion, etc.
Books
Bottle
Then when I put her to bed I always give her the pacifier, her baby doll and put on her mobile.

Pacifier and sound machine. We don't do baths every night, its too dry here and honestly some days baths are at night other times they're in the morning with me. I was never that good. I've tried to start reading her a story before bed but that doesn't seem to settle her down. She just wants to grab the book and play with it.

I forgot to add in that I think the most important thing is mastering the art of putting the baby down at just the right time -- when they are tired but not yet sleeping. Once we got this down it was great --- she hums a bit and that must be how she winds herself down and she's esleep in minutes. When we used to let her slee pin our arms then put her down it never worked!

swaddle, pacifier, instrumental lullabyes set to repeat all night, and white noise.

Sound machine made all the difference in the world for us! My DH works nights and it seemed like she was hearing him come home and constantly getting home. This is a rarity since we got the sound machine!

My shirt. Noah loves to hold onto my shirt all night. The smellier the better.
eta we do bath, bottle bed. For us, that bath is a pretty strong signal that its bedtime. After that bath, he is cream crackered and ready for beddy byes.

We do bath, books (sometimes, depending on her modd) and then I feed her and make sure she is awake when I put her down and she goes right to sleep.
