Central Air
Has anyone had it installed that didn't have the duct work already in? We are looking to put it in and since we have electric heat there is no duct work. I was wondering approx how much it would cost. The house is a 2 level raised ranch, 2400 sq ft. Any idea?

WE have a ranch and we had no duct work, it was pretty simple for them to put it in for the CAC we then made our heat forced hot air, so we were able to get rid of those hideous radiators...
Cost us abt $3500 for 1100 sq ft

Although we have ductwork for heat, we got estimates to put in central AC using its own ducts in the ceiling, with the air handler in teh attic. Our house is just over 1800 sq. ft (hi-ranch) and our estimates ranges from $5000-$10000.
