I do not know what board to put this question on, but does anyone know where I can find a Chemistry tutor?
I am going to Suffolk Community College, and just need a little help.
Any suggestions appreciated.

Your college? Kaplan? Another local college?
Stonybrook has a lot of med and pre-med students and I'm sure some of them tutor.
Check out the school paper for Stonybrook, or call your school's tutoring office.

I taught Chemistry while I was in college, so I know a little (I eventually became a chem engineer). But its been years. I can check with my old professors and see if they can tell me who can help you out.

Yeah, I work at stonybrook, so I was thinking I would check their tutoring board, but one of the prof. said a lot of them were just for those taking SBU classes. I did not see any tutors on the bulletin board at suffolk
I was thinking of emailing the professor, just not sure, I know he teaches on the side, not full time.

go to your local high school - maybe one of the teachers does tutoring also?

Seriously?? I am only taking Gen Chem. and on chapter 2...and already need help, LOL ...mainly math questions at this point, I am having some conversion issues. So any recommendations would be AWSOME....if someone can explain thouroughly, I can get it. My Prof. just kind of buzzes through class without people understanding.
