I need help . . . those good with words and/or godparents, please come on in!
My goddaughter is getting baptised this weekend and my cousin (her mother) asked me if I would like to give a speech. Having told me that she would understand if I didn't want to since she hated speaking in front of people, but then also having told me that the godfather is giving one, since it doesn't bother him, I feel like I must say something at the party. This is a huge affair - will probably be 100 people there. I am SO nervous about doing this
Has anyone ever had to give a speech at a baptism party? Can anyone help me come up with something not too long yet meaningful and appropriate to say?
