What colors would look good?
When we bought the house, in our living room there are 2 walls that are painted a maroon color. I guess they're accent walls? (I'm not up to speed with the terms.) To the left it's a dark maroon color and across from that wall is the same color which is around the fireplace, but only in the middle since that where the fireplace is sticks out further than the wall itself. A little more modern looking I guess. Anyway, the rest of the living room is painted a yellowish tan color. Not a brown tan color. It looks nice and all, I just thought that maybe we could paint it different colors to brighten up the room a bit. Also, the maroon doesn't match our couch and loveseat at all. They're a nice pale green/darker pastel color and all our other furniture is black and modern looking. The red and green just don't look good in IMO. What colors do you think would look good against each other? We also have the dark brown molding which I want to paint over too. We like the accent wall idea, just maybe in a different color? Any ideas? (I wish I had pictures) Thanks!
