LIRR RANT
I know many people here commute via the LIRR, so do not take this into offense.. it's just a general rant....
why do people must push and shove getting on the train? if there are a lot of people in front of you, by pushing and shoving still won't get you a seat, you will just hurt someone by doing this. .. and when someone get up for you to get out or in of your seat, does it hurt to say THANK YOU? Or even give a quick smile to show your appreciation?
... when you have a giant bag, please watch where you swing that thing, chances are, you will hit someone on your way down the isle.
everybody's tired, but a little kindness goes a long way.
ok, rant over.

I agree with everything you wrote!! Also when people stand in aisle and put their coats on, hitting you in the face. I love that.
Or the loud cell phone conversations.... especially when they have the speaker phone on!

Ditto!!
Because commuting isn't annoying enough -- people have to be jack@sses too.

Re: LIRR RANT
I was beyond aggravated by my seatmate this morning. If you have a huge puffy coat (even though it's NOT winter), you don't take it off and hold it. It's bad enough you were on MY SIDE of the seat, I didn't need your coat there too. That's why I pulled out my laptop - to establish my space.
Also while I wait my turn patiently to get on a train, I have considered throwing people down the stairs if I'm close to missing my train & they're standing on the escalators. Rush Hour...RUSH is there for a reason.

Oh my gosh... everything you wrote is so true! I would rather wait outside the train and watch everyone squeeze into the doors to find a sit, then have to deal with that!Thank god I only go into the city a couple a days a week now, and I usually try to miss rush hour.

I think this person sat next to me on the way home! lol She took so much space, I was literately smooshed onto the side of the train
