weight gain
Hi everyone,
I have a question...how much weight did everyone or has everyone gained so far with twins? I have to say I gained weight from the ivf drugs, was alittle overweight to begin with and gained weight already in my second month. I am freaking out. I even have "fat" nightmares almost every night. My sister is getting married 6 months after I deliver and I am the matron of honor. I think this is helping me bug out. I am starting on my treadmill Tues! I do not intend to lose weight prego but I can certainly tone.

Re: weight gain
I gained 36 pounds and when I left the hospital I was 5 lbs under my original weight, but I was overweight to begin with.

Re: weight gain
just lurking, but you know Im doing IVF so this worries me and I am overweight to begin with and know the meds are gonna add MORE weight soon.
So my Dr (RE) said, for my weight, I should gain nothing for a singleton, and 10-15 lbs for twins

Re: weight gain
I gained 10 pounds during my last week. Within two weeks of giving birth, I was 50 pouinds lighter! I joke with DH that I need to have another set of twins to reach my goal weight!

This past week DH was off with me and he got me up and oout of the house every morning for a 2 mile walk. I hope to keep that up when school starts but I think I'll be so when I get home.

Re: weight gain
Don't worry about it, just don't eat for three. I think you need 600 more calories a day. I actually was losing weight in my butt and thighs but my stomach was ginormous! In my third trimester I could not eat that much, since they were jammed up on my stomach.

Re: weight gain
So far I am on track to have gained what a woman carrying a singleton at this point should have gained. I was scared just like you but honestly I'm still "waiting" for my enormous weight gain.
I know that now I'm on bedrest I'll be gaining a lot more than I would have normally but once you get to the end you give up caring so much. Everyone tells me you'll lose so much after they're born from running around and not having time to eat. We'll see about that!
