Re: ok..i need HONEST opinions please..
I think a 1-2 day old baby- should not be at a party (IMO) with a bunch of people and all there germs (Im a germaphobe though)
I also think that if you have the option to leave the baby home with someone- You will not wanna leave your DC.
Also- I think- thats a little soon- you'll prob be exhausted, trying to get adjusted etc....
As far as your DH- If he wanted to walk down 5 houses say hello- get something to eat- I think thats fine- just make sure he brings you back some food ESP. a piece of cake!

I think it is definitely too early to take your baby to a party. As for yourself, even if you have the baby on Thursday and there are no complications, you may not be in the party mood. You will definitely be hurting and, most likely, exhausted. Your husband can go by himself and, after his brother arrives and is surprised, I am sure no one will be upset if he leaves early. Don't try to push yourself too fast. Childbirth is no day at the beach and you need to be as rested as you can to care for your baby.

When you get your head out of your butt , you also may need to realize you may still be in the hospital. Just because you're induced doesn't mean you have a v-birth. (sorry, just preparing you)

You also have to think of the fact that you may need a c-section which would require you a longer hospital stay.
My suggestion would be to keep an open mind and be realistic. I know I would not have been up for a party 1-2 days pp but definitely a piece of cake.

Or dosent mean that you'll deliver that day either-
Some people are induced and are in labor for 36 hours

You can also tell your doc that you arent going to be induced until that Monday as long as all is going well with the baby, fluid levels etc. it still is your decision
