Does anyone have cherry wood floors in their house?
Does anyone have cherry wood flooring in their house? I am thinking of getting a laminate/pergo type floor for my house... but I want to get it in a much darker cherry color.
I have all light furniture... and we are putting in all oatmeal light colored cabinets. We are also painting and will be doing light off-white walls.
I think the cherry would look real nice. My wife likes the look... but thinks it may make the room look smaller... but I don't believe in that.
Anyone have pictures they can share if they do? Many thanks!

Your pictures are very nice. I am actually looking to go a shade darker.
I am more thinking of flooring the color of your door in the kitchen.

I have something similar to this in my house ... I liked it because it was going to match any wood I bought (we had to buy all our furniture recently, I didn't have any prior to putting the floors down.)
The lighting of the camera makes it appear lighter than it is in person

we don't have but i LOVE dark wood floors. keep in mind though that they get VERY dusty and tend to make a room look smaller.
ETA: have you looked into real wood? i know there is a major difference in price but i think it is SO worth it.

When we were looking at houses there was one with brazillian cherry wood floor. It was SOOOOO GEORGOUS. So dark and rich looking. Unfortunately the rest of the house was not as great, but that floor was beautiful.

I did. Maybe I missed a few things... but I didnt see a lot of differences between that flooring and the other flooring I was looking at.
Maybe I missed something. 
Where did you get your flooring at? Do you know any stores in the area that sell it?

Lumber Luquidators has a store in Hauppague at Exit 56. You can look at their website. Thewy may have another in Nassau too. I am not sure. they are great!! we used them for our bamboo engineered hardwood floors and they look awesome
