Re: Cereal Question...when to increase frequency & amount
I would probably increase the frequency before the quantity and once she's OK with that maybe go to 2 Tbsp. and see if her system handles it OK. More than likely she'll do fine if it hasn't bothered her yet but I'm not an expert that's for sure. I don't even measure anymore. I just mix up a bowl of fruit and cereal and sometimes she finishes what I make and sometimes she doesn't.

Re: Cereal Question...when to increase frequency & amount
you mix cereal & fruit? did you start that after introducing each new food?
I can't wait to start fruit for her...I know she'll love it and I have a feeling we're going to go through the stages quickly since she seems eager to eat

We started pears around 4 months because of her constsipation. I was never good at following the introducing food rule. I tried a few different things that she seemed to like then we just moved onto everything. Around 6 months she was eating veggies, fruits and meats but the organic stuff I buy is always mixtures of different things so it was hard to do all the single stuff one at a time. There are no food allergies in our families so i wasn't all that worried.

Re: Cereal Question...when to increase frequency & amount
I started cereal one tbsp first day then 2 next day then 3 then 4 and we stay at 4 tbsps. That was one week then I started a veggie 1/2 jar first three days then whole jar 4th day. Then I started a fruit same routine with all new fruits and veggies. So now she gets 4tbsps of cereal(rice) mixed with BM and a jar of a fruit or veggie one time a day at her 11 or noon feeding and she also gets one side of breast. This is what my ped told me to do and gave me a chart of how to do it. She loves her food!!! Seems like alot but she eats it and what she doesnt I just let it go
