prenatal question- more traffic here.. TY
I just started taking prenatals on tuesday. Every day since i've been sooooo cranky, moody and very bloated. I had 2 slices of pizza & 2 garlic knots for dinner at 5:15 last nite, and 4 hours later I was still so stuffed and bloated and even slightly naucious...
Is this normal?

prenatals can be very constipating (sorry TMI) if they have iron in them.....

I don't know how far along you are but I think that sense of being bloated is part of just being pregnant at times. I find that when I eat something heavy that happens to me from time to time. Because of that, I try to space my meals every 3 hours.

If they are not agreeing with you then I would switch to another kind....some just don't agree with some people. I have a friend that had to switch the one she was on.

I thought you were. Yes, many people do that so that their body is already nourished when it's time to conceive and also they said this is very helpful especially taking one that has folic acid. Perhaps they don't agree with you or they might have an ingredient that is causing this. That can happen.

Re: prenatal question- more traffic here.. TY
It usually takes me a couple of days to get used to taking a new vitamin plus I always feel bloated and uncomfortable eating a lot of bready products like that. Maybe the combo of that is what's making you nauseous (sp?)?
I would try switching the brand of vitamin or take them earlier in the day with a light meal and see if that helps.
Hope you are feeling better.
