Newsday Part 2- New ovulation predictor...
http://www.newsday.com/features/printedition/ny-hsphar4312684jun21,0,494647.story?coll=ny-features-print
Ovulite: This spit test can determine when a woman is ovulating. It is actually a tiny microscope about the size of a lipstick case that magnifies saliva, looking for a pattern that appears as frost on a window. Ovulite is meant to help a woman determine the time of the month that she is most likely to conceive and is 98 percent accurate. This test is reusable, FDA-approved and costs about $35.

I read this today in the paper too. Has anyone used it? I was thinking of giving it a shot but I don't know.

Re: Newsday Part 2- New ovulation predictor...
That would mean we have to stop POASing!! Withdrawal symptoms sure to set in...
Actually it looks like it would be cheaper in the long run....

I have this actually. It supposedly truly works. One of my best friends used it for 2 months before getting pregnant with her first child after trying for almost a year. She said when the fern like patterns appear indicating ovulation, it is impossible to miss them. So much easier than temp taking and cheaper than kits apparently. Ive used it but never showed anything because of my problem.

I tried it and never got those "fern" things you're supposed to see. I prefer the POAS!!!

ETA: They don't make the Donna anymore. They have this instead: Fertile Focus Ovulation

Re: Newsday Part 2- New ovulation predictor...
Well, I just ordered it and we'll see if it works. I figured that since I don't have the schedule to POAS and haven't had any luck in the past nor do I have the patience to chart that I would give this a try.
According to their ovulation predictor, I should conceive on 7/1 which is the GTG. This fits along the suggestion of my sister that I go get really tipsy and go have fun with hubby.

Re: Newsday Part 2- New ovulation predictor...
I've been using it all along. I can very clearly see when there is ferning and when there isn't.
If you aren't irregular, it probably works fine. But since I have annovulary cycles my body thinks I'm O'ing a couple times in a cycle so I can get cycling ferning.
It's an easy way to supplement the BBT OPK and CM charts to be extra sure it's O time.
(O Time, not to be confused with the boy band O Town....LOL.)
