? re: putting in an offer

that house i showed you (next to the funeral home...), do you think it is ok we put an offer in for 20K less than asking?

i know there are no rules, but there is nothing wrong with the house, besides the funaral home thing and the fact that it is somewhat of a smaller size lot than we wanted originally...

what do you think?

Start a bit lower, you can always offer more.

You should always start low...they may counteroffer or you can always offer more.

30k less even though the house is only half the cost of a LI house?

Re: ? re: putting in an offer

I would figure out what you can afford, and what you think is a fair offer and offer somwhere in that range.
you dont' want to be insulting - but if you can get the house for a lower price, you want to try that also

Re: ? re: putting in an offer

if your heart is set on it, you need to be careful. My heart wasn't set on our current house, so when we lowballed, my heart got into it when it was accepted LOL :D
