OK..pics of the INSIDE of our new house....any help will be appreciated
OK...as you all know, the whole house is WHITE! EWWWW, boring! I'd like to do a cocoa brown in the kitchen and maybe also in the living room....
Here is the kitchen and dining area, cocoa brown would be on the large wall in the dining area and maybe accents on the cabinets. Also, here is a closeup of our kitchen tile. Image Attachment(s):

Living Room pics....Need MAJOR help here. Want to do a accent color wall on the fireplace wall. There are 2 entryways into the kitchen/dining area....so basically when you walk in the front door, you can walk straight through to the kitchen. The other opening is, as you can see in the 3rd pic, very close to the fireplace. It would be that "one wall" that would have the accent color in both the LR and dining area. Image Attachment(s):

Shana - just a bit of advice....what they say about a house settling after it's built is SO true! We waited a year to paint (I too HATED the white white white walls) and pretty much the whole house had to be spackled in areas before that. It's been 8 months since we painted and we're still getting some minor new cracks. So, even though it's so drab, I'd wait a little while to paint.

DH and I are repainting our whole house too. If you have a Home Depot where you live, there are little booklets that Behr puts out with different color combinations. They have lots of ideas and that might help you. Though I am sure that most stores that sell paint have similar things.
I posted a thread on LIW a few months ago and some people posted some pics of their rooms- they were gorgeous. I'll see if I can bump it for you.

Shana its beautiful!! What a nice house! Congrats!! I can't help much with colors...I like white and off white We have ivory/beige colors with white molding in the LR and hall, we have a sage-greenish color with white trim in the DR and our bedroom is a pale pale blue with white trim.

Benjamin Moore IMO is the best paint to use. If you are worried about the cracks go with an off white, light beige and use the color in accents like your curtains, lamp shades, pillows until you think you are crack free. With a lighter color on the walls its easier to touch up. Good Luck!!
