Please tell me I didn't harm the baby...
Okay, my doctor told me at my point in pregnancy - that painting is okay (29 weeks). All I did was paint the trimming in 2 1/2 rooms on and off all last week and I wore a mask most of the time. Now the man in Aboff's told me it is hazerdous to the baby and not even to be near the house. Then I was in home depot today just getting a can of bug spray for DH since I couldn't be around the paint and an employee got pretty upset with me for even being in that isle looking for it. I am not going near the paint - but should I be concerned that I harmed my little girl?

I was told by my doctor no painting and no bug spray. You wore a mask and it was well ventilated right? other girls on here have painted and they are fine. Dont worry, if you feel strongly now about it dont do it anymore let your DH do it.

OK, I'm not sure, but I think latex paint is OK. I'm sure is OK. Your doctor wouldn't have told you it was OK it it wasn't.

Thanks. That is what my friend told me as well - the windows were open. I just feel so low and so guilty right now.

We painted our nursery while I was waiting to give birth...I only watched and the house did smell of paint. And my baby was born fine, all 11 toes and 13 fingers!
Don't worry about it!

I wouldn't worry about it. I helped paint our nursery and I have no concerns over it.

I wouldn't worry... I painted my daughters room and was around while they painted our whole house, I just made sure I got some fresh air and left it well ventilated.... my daughter was just fine!

Honestly, I just wouldnt have done it. I am unsure why the doctor okayed it. The paint reads that it is not good for if you are preggo. I am not your doctor as doctors say so many various things but I would be careful when using paint or anything toxic in general.

I painted the nursery plus another room in the house while PG. My doc said it was fine as long as the room was ventilated.

I was told that as long as it was laytex paint it was fine, plus you wore a mask. I wouldn't worry about it.
