Sorry ladies - I want to cry....UPDATED ON THE BOTTOM - THANK YOU LADIES!!!!
even though I've been on Zofran for 2 weeks now, I have still been getting nauseous, and the last 3 days I started vomiting again - only 1 time a day, but its still so frustrating...
I just threw up right now - I actually have a Dr. apt tomorrow morning, but then I have to go to work. Of course I'm up right now and know I'll be exhausted for the rest of the day....
Sorry ladies - so far I'm 12 weeks PG, and this entire time I've been so uncomfortable - I went thru that horrible MS, nausea on the Zofran, I'm terribly constipated, have a terrible appetite, hate eating, and still cant take regular prenatals - still doing Flintstones....
I know the baby is fine and living off of my nutrients quite happile - but someone, pease tell me this is going to get better....

Chin up little one! Hopefully this week will mark the trimester known as the "honeymoon trimester", where suddenly you have energy & no ms.
I didn't take any pre-natals with Maddie during the first trimester. If I smelled them I gagged. I was told i was better that I kept the food down that I ate rather than tossed it up to take a vitamin. She's perfectly fine - except for thumb sucking...

Re: Sorry ladies - I want to cry....
TRUST ME...It will get better!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I thought I was on my death bed the first 14 weeks of my pregnancy...It was so bad I ended up with an IV line in my arm for 2months because I was so dehydrated...once I started with the IV treatments I felt like my old self. If your dr feels you are dehydrated he may suggest the IV treatments..
You have to try to stay calm because getting upset makes you feel worse....
Feel better

Can only offer . I don't want to upset you, but I felt the same way until my third trimester. Even then, without the Zofran I threw up every day until I delivered.

Re: Sorry ladies - I want to cry....
I can tell you that it does get better. I was praying the second trimester would come quicker. It does get better. I can tell you I hardly ate a thing during the 1st trimester. There were many days I couldn't even get a drop of water down. It does get better I promise. And the end results make it ALL worth it. That is a promise!!

Re: Sorry ladies - I want to cry....
I know it's hard to believe...but it WILL get better. A lot of us have been in the same situation as you. I used to tell DH that we are never having any more kids!
For some people (me included) m/s does not stop completely, but I can assure you that it does get MUCH better. Hang in there.

Re: Sorry ladies - I want to cry....
I'm sorry you're having such a rough time. Just being pregnant is enough of a life adjustment, but feeling cr@ppy only makes it more difficult. Just stay positive that things will get better. You should (hopefully) be feeling much better really soon.

I could have written this. At 27 weeks, I would dare to say that I will get preggo again, where months ago I swore it off. I looked up old posts and can't believe it was me who was writting that. I wanted to die.
It gets so much better. I still vomit every now and then, but it is no where near the 24 hours a day I had. Your appetite will come back, believe me, at week 19, I was hungry for everything.

Re: Sorry ladies - I want to cry....
Ladies - thank you sooooo much for these words - my dr. reassured me this morning as well - I think she could tell I was about to cry....
This is my 1st time, obviously, so I have no fram of reference - all my life I fantasized being PG as this wonderful magical experience, and I'm sure it will be... soon
Thank you again - I was very depressed last night, because the one thing I always prided myself in is being strong, and having endless energy, and I am feeling so weak and tired, thoughts of "what kind of mother could I possibly be?" Start creeping in!
The one thing you want to know you are doing is carrying your child healthfully and sending it all this positive energy and love - I felt like I was slipping last night!
I can't wait to help some other poor little mommy in the middle of the night and tell her it will get better - I may even bump this post one time down the line for a good laugh!!!
On a wonderful note - I heard the heart beat today! Just thinking about it maes me want to cry (umm - hormones, anyone?) but this time because I'm happy!
