BBQ punch ideas...
Am having a BBQ in a couple of weeks and DH & I were thinking of making a fun punch to serve.. Alchoholic would be great, but if its not, will still give it a go.
Also, any good ideas to jazz up frozen hamburger patties? we'll probably have them, so any ideas would be great.
Thanks a million!

Hmmmm...wonder what BBQ this is for??? I still have to RSVP for that don't I?
Oh, Peter Luger sauce is always a yummy marinade for burgers. Adrienne made that really yummy champagne punch for my bridal shower. If you liked it let me know and I will ask her for the recipe.

Re: BBQ punch ideas...
tray-thx for the suggestions. :)
Champagne punch was YUMMY at your shower - and it looked easy also. Would love the recipie :)
But am thinking more vodka or rum based type thing - just so i don't have to worry about defizzing bubbles :)
We were thinking of getting one of those drink dispensers with the spigot on the bottom, etc etc.. Cause I'm lazy and will not want to think about it (or any spillage) except to make sure its on ice once its done lol.
would it work with Champagne? give us the recipie and DH & I will have to give it a preview heh heh.
Thanks!

Re: BBQ punch ideas...
try www.idrink.com for some punch ideas, also on food network - semi-homemade w/ Sandra Lee makes a lot of punch/drinks.
Are the burgers made already? Check out the ground beef post. Rachel Ray on 30 min meals (foodnetwork) made fajita burgers that sound good.

Re: BBQ punch ideas...
vodka and lemonade is awesome for BBQ's....you can use almost any lemonade mix...do half with water and half with vodka, and cut up some lemons to float around in it too...it's best when served ICE cold!!!!! I've found putting it in one of those gatorade dispenser things is the best.....
For burgers....I sometimes marinade in worteschire (sp?) sauce....or sometime I mix BBQ sauce (Lloyd's is really yummy) right into the chopmeat.....
