IVF question
My husband and I are just about to undergo IVF- is it normal to be scared out of your mind??? We had an orientation meeting last night and the nurse told us all the possible complications and she scared me half to death. I know that the percentages of anything happening are low- but is/ was anyone else scared?

Well my DH get scared just talking about it so I can't imagine how that level jumps when you are actually getting ready to begin. Just remember, yes, there are compliations that COULD arise...but that is why you are SOOO closely monitored throughout it. Just keep reminding yourself of the end result and that should calm you down.

Re: IVF question
Yes it is perfectly normal to be scared. The percentages are much higher for IVF than an IUI. An IUI is only 20-30%.
Lots of luck

Re: IVF question
DH was very nonchalant about the whole thing, and I'm like "do you realize what could happen to my body???!!!!" But try not to worry, because like Deb said, you'll be monitored very closely.
Good luck!

I just started my 1st IVF cycle on Monday and I'm nervous about it but so far I'm doing ok with everything. It's easier for me to give myself the shots and they aren't painful. I'm sorry you got scared from your orientation class, I didn't have that at all. Just nervousness and excitement that we were finally moving forward.
Good luck to you and much baby dust!!!!
