Got kicked in the stomach...
My nephew who has NO discipline and is lately out of control (he's 5) kicked in my left side of the lower stomach today. When I went to kiss and hug him for his 1st day of Kindergarten. He wanted to left alone and he kicked me. Well I yelled at him and his mother came in and sent him to his room.(with a slap on the azz on the way) He then starting hitting her. i still feel where he kicked me and i have been uncomforatble all day in that same spot bc im stretching. im so upset right now i hope he didn't hurt the baby

Re: Got kicked in the stomach...
Don't worry I was kicked in the stomach at work, I work with children. I have also had my 60 pound dog jump on me..I was never at the time to and went to the doctor, and everything was fine. It can't hurt to call your doctor and see if you can get checked out.

Re: Got kicked in the stomach...
sorry Nancy. I didn't feel the baby move much when I was 15 weeks - its probably more the fact that the baby is small rather than hurt. If you are really nervous call your doctor in the morning and maybe he can do a sono or listen with the doppler, but I think you are ok!!!
Feel better

Re: Got kicked in the stomach...
I think you are probably fine. The baby is so cushioned in there in the sac of fluid that I was told by the Dr. that an injury would have to be so hard that if you weren't pregnant it could cause internal injury. It also says this in the book "What to Expect".
Oh and I didn't start to feel regular movement until about 20 weeks.

Re: Got kicked in the stomach...
They're in a sac of water for a reason. I would say you are perfectly fine (except for having a monster for a nephew ).
I wouldn't worry about not feeling the baby move unless you were over 6 months & not feeling the baby move.
