August Mommies To Be
HOW ARE WE DOING??!??!?!?!?
We are almost there!!!
I am 35 weeks and have 36 days to the due date. I can't believe how close it is.
Baby's room is still not done yet, but its ok since the baby won't sleep in there right away, however I would love for it to be done.
Still haven't had my 2 showers!! so I really have nothing!!
I'm starting to freak out because I feel so unprepared!!
Anyway..we finally decided on a name for our . Jiavana Crystal.
I really wanted a "J" name and I wanted to use Crystal in honor of my baby sister who died when she was 2 mths old from SIDS.

Re: August Mommies To Be
I love the name you picked out!
I'm in my 35th week and it's starting to catch up with me. I have only gained about 20lbs but the heat is making me puffy everywhere and it's starting to make me sad.
The nursery is almost done but I don't have any furniture to put in it yet. It's ordered but hasn't come in yet.
I had my shower a week ago and everyone was so generous (except my mother...vent) and I have everything I need.
I'm still working full time but thinking of cutting back on some hours. There doesn't seem to be enough time to get everything done that needs to get done!

I don't want to work full time...I just feel guilty about cutting back hours.

Don't feel guilty!! You are almost there. You definitely need some "YOU" time before the baby comes!

Re: August Mommies To Be
I'll be 34 wks on Thursday and I'm starting to feel like a giant ballon. I had my 1st shower (one of the ladies at my job is throwing me a shower also!)almost 2 wks ago and we have so much stuff which is all still in boxes We will be moving in with my mom shortly after that baby is born so we'll only be taking out the bare necesities (i.e. carseat, bassinet) I'll find out tomorrow if I'm all clear to go back to work(I've been out the last 2.5mths due to contractions) which sounds insane I know but if I don't go back to work for even a little while I will have absolutely no time after baby is born. I only hope my swollen body can handle a 12hr shift!

Re: August Mommies To Be
I'm 34 weeks and feel like my feet are going to pop! Saw my MD today and she is thrilled at how well I'm doing. the babies measured 4lbs 9 ozs and 4lbs 10 ozs today. I'm scheduled for a c-section at 38 weeks - August 16th. Not sure if I'll last that long.

Re: August Mommies To Be
I love that name!!
I am 35 weeks and the heat is killing me. I found out that my furniture is backed order until the end of August. I'm so upset since I ordered it in April. I started washing all the clothes and trying to figure out where to put everything. The nursery (besides the furniture) is almost done. I went to the doc yesterday and my little girl is weighing in at 6 pounds 11oz!! They said they can be wrong up to a pound and 1/2 but I'm totally freaked! I'm really petite and don't know how she will make it out if she is really big!! The doc wasn't concerned and said we will do another growth sono in 3 weeks.
Is anyone else getting up 3-6 times a night to pee? I would kill of just one good nights sleep. I know once she arrives there won't be too many.

Re: August Mommies To Be
No longer an August mommy-to-be, but July! Original EDD was August 6th, but I'm scheduled for a c-section on July 30th, when I'll be 39 weeks due to breech and GD. Only a week and a half left for me!
My ankles are also swelling terribly- unavoidable with this heat and humidity, I'm afraid. Thank goodness I'm not working anymore!
I am up 5 times a night to pee and to reposition myself- my lower back starts to kill after 1 hour in a position. It's very annoying.
Hang in there ladies!

WOW we are in very similar in what's going on!!! EED was August 17 but c-section will be set for the first week of August (have sono on friday, will set the date on friday) Baby is Breech
ankles are swollen and I'm up 4-5 times a night to go to the bathroom.
Still working full time, Aug. 4th was my last day of work but now I'll have a baby by that date.

Re: August Mommies To Be
Doing pretty well except - where did my nice cute feet go??? What are these sausage-like appendages attached to my cankles???
The heat's been brutal - I've been drinking a ton - hopefully everyone is staying hydrated!
Still working full time - must finish a big project, but there's light at the end of the tunnel.
Had a growth sono last week (at 34 weeks) - baby was measuring 5 lbs, 7 oz, in the 68th percentile. Feel like I'm really packing on the pounds these days, but when it's 90+ degrees outside, ice cream becomes a major food group.

I am also 35 weeks. I'm still feeling good. I can't believe how close it is. I had my shower on Sunday. It was so nice, and we got soo much stuff, it was crazy! The baby's room still isn't finished. DH has to put the crib together, and my dad is fixing up the changing table and dresser. I can't wait until those are done so we can set everything up! I haven't packed my hospital bag. I guess I should do that soon.

Re: August Mommies To Be
WOW Looks like a few of us are scheduled!
My EDD is August 6th, and although they wanted to schedule me much earlier, I asked for August 3rd, since its hubby's bday , so we'll see if I go that long My first 2 babies were both late, but some days, I feel like THEY (my toddlers ) are going to be the cause of an early labor
So 2 weeks from tomorrow ! Its just as exciting the 3rd time around
Tummy pats to all !!

Re: August Mommies To Be
I'm just at 37 weeks almost and i go for my strep test and first internal tomorrow morning. I'm very nervous about that, but hopefully the DR will tell me that I'm making some sort of progress. I have alot of pressure "down there", so i'm pretty uncomfortable. My last day of work is August 1st. Looking forward to that for sure.

Re: August Mommies To Be
I am 34 weeks and due August 30th. I cant believe it.
I have been feeling really good but have to admit, havent been doing much in this heat. I had a long weekend (went to 04brides shower on Saturday...awesome shower by the way and the american idol concert on Sunday) and had some really bad cramping afterwards. I think I was sitting for too long or something but thank god yesterday I started feeling better.
I went for my 3 hour test last week and PASSED! So happy about that! I go back to the doctor next Thursday and hopefully she will tell me if the baby is in position yet. She hasnt mentioned that yet. The room still isnt ready which is freaking me out..I think I am going to start packing my hospital bag over the weekend just to be ready.
I am soooo nervous but wanna meet my little girl too. I cant believe shes almost here.

Re: August Mommies To Be
Well the thing with us is that the baby will be sharing the room with us for the first year, until we decide whether or not to move. So none of us have anywhere to go at this point. LOL
We are almost positive that our little girls name will be Megan..still not set on a middle name but we are almost positive it will be Megan. Have you chosen a name yet?

We had Adrianna and Jiavana (Giovanna) picked out. I'm leaning more towards Jiavana by like 99%. Of course if the name doesn't fit her when she comes out, Adrianna is a backup name.
We are using Crystal as her middle name regardless.

This makes me feel better as our room isn't done yet either. I'm glad that I'm on the same pace as everyone else.
