Dairy Free Moms GTG
Emilain and I are getting together and wanted to see if any of you guys wanted to come too. We are going to share food ideas and just give eachother moral support as we all know that BFing a child with allergies is soooooo hard.
Lobster, MonkeyBride, Sweetness, and Antionette..... you interested? Anyone else that I missed or any new moms?
We can do a Tues, Weds, or a Saturday. We'd love to meet everybody
I know I need some new food ideas because I eat the same thing almost everyday.

I'm dairy free too, but I live in Philly But, I've been dairy free for about two years now, so if anyone needs any advice/recipes, I'm more than happy to oblige!

Re: Dairy Free Moms GTG
Sounds like fun. Thank god I am not dairy free anymore, haven't been for a while. I went dairy, soy, egg, peanut, strawberry free and it didn't make a damn bit of difference. We still have not gotten to the root of Miranda's troubles. I live in CO too so even if I was DF its quite a trip.

Re: Dairy Free Moms GTG
I just weaned him I was getting very stressed about what to eat and what not to eat- I felt like I was hurting him if something slipped in that wasnt supposed to also he wasnt gainig weight that good My ins company decided to cover the alimentum and its been good so far- he gained alot of weight and doent spit up as much- although occasionally he spits up with some blood in it which is usually when he tries a new fruit thar irritates his esophagus but its few and far between much different than the breast milk- sad to say I give evey milk free mom a ton of credit because I know how hard it is. I hope the next baby doesnt have this because I would like to breastfeed longer if I could...

Re: Dairy Free Moms GTG
Oh well....Emilain I guess it just you and me
Bxgell2 - we could have an online support group . I'll FM you what I ate in a given day and you do the same for me....that way we can get some new ideas of things to eat. I'm also off soy though so it makes things a little harder.
Monkeybride - I give you a ton of credit for cutting out all those foods. Honestly what is left to eat? Hopefully you can figure out what will help Miranda.
Antoinette - hopefully the alimentum will do the trick for you. Sidney drinks that when I am at work 2 days a week. She is not the biggest fan though. BFing is sooo stressful - I feel the same anxiety. Even when I am so careful I still make mistakes (like when MIL cooks something and swears it is milk free and then after sidney has a reaction she says..."oh I forgot i added some butter")
