Orange/gold rooms

One of the colors I am leaning towards is an orange. Has anyone used this color? DH is concerned that it will look too much like Halloween.

Re: Orange/gold rooms

I have seen it look AWESOME but you have to do it the right way....like a muted / burnt orange...with lots of accents, furniture that blends etc.

Re: Orange/gold rooms

our living room is orange-ish
it's actually two different shades, which you can see in some of the pictures if you look closely.

My neighbors have an orange dining room and an orange living room in a levitt cape - I think it looks really nice

Re: Orange/gold rooms

We did our den in a coral/orange. These pics are when it was first painted.

We used a burnt orange in our home office and it looked great! Our main walls were a caramel color and the accent wall we used the orange. I love that color! ETA: Here's a pic - desk is messy Chat Icon

The darker color is exactly what I want. I love it.

Re: Orange/gold rooms

We used to have a gold color in our living room and an orange color in our dining room in our old apt.
The orange color was called "Falling Leaves" by Behr. It was a gorgeous burnt orange color. I'd highly recommend it!

Re: Orange/gold rooms

Our basement (which is our rec room) is something like a pumpkin color. My initial thought when I saw it when we first saw the house was "EWWWWWW.." But within a minute or two I decided I liked it and it worked well for the space

We painted our den an orange color - its "Caramel Latte" from Benjamin Moore. It looks really nice and make the room seem really warm.

Re: Orange/gold rooms

I had a brighter "pumpkin orange" in my co-op bedroom right before I sold it. It was definitely bright and out there.

But I really liked it. You have to like orange though to go for it. Chat Icon

My wife and my MIL are in the process of painting our house. I will probably do orange in our bedroom again. Chat Icon
