Nice restaurant recommendations???
Dh is taking me out for my b-day on Sunday, & I'm trying to think of a nice place to go (preferably Western Suffolk, but will travel if it's worth it ).
We've already been to Louis XVI, Mill Pond House, 105 Harbor, etc...
Has anyone been to Mill River Inn in Oyster Bay or Mirabelle in St. James? Both have great reviews, but I'd love feedback if anyone has it.
Thanks so much!

First of all happy birthday!!
There is a great place in West Islip?? or Bayshore called "Beechtree" The food is great!!
If you feel like coming to Nassau, try Louies in Port Washington. But you need to get there early. THey get busy pretty fast!!

Re: Nice restaurant recommendations???
There is 21 Main in Sayville, Riverview and Snapper Inn in Oakdale. I have been trying to get me DH to take me back to where we got married - Bellport Country Club - they have a great restaurant upstairs. I am sure there is more - I will post more when they come to mind.
And by the way - HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!!!!

Happy birthday Andrea!
What about Oscar's in St James? Heard lots of good stuff and had some tastes of their food at the Northport Rotary Food & Wine tasting at the Vanderbilt last night.

Happy Birthday!
I love Mirabelle. The chef and his wife (the hostess) are super nice and friendly. It's not super-French, more like US-French, meaning the menu is recognizable and not like all horse and stinky cheese.

Happy B-day!!!!
I was at Mirabelle probably 5 years ago, and didn't care for it at all...it was just too weird for me.
How about Country House in Stony Brook??? SOOOO romantic and great food!!!

Re: Nice restaurant recommendations???
Aww thanks for asking! It was nice (not as fun as they used to be though ). We wound up going out to Brunch (a little place by my house), & then we were still so full from Brunch that we skipped the dinner!
(Went to see Wedding Crashers instead).
