What can I do with a wine bottle?
I have the champagne bottle we drank to celebrate getting engaged. I'd love to have it flattened and hang it in our room, but I can't find any companies that do this. I can only find already flattened bottles.
A friend of mine turned hers into a lamp, but I'm not loving that idea.
Any other ideas?

What about preserving just the label, cork, etc in a shadow box?

What about shattering it and making a mosaic plate out of the pieces?
on another note.. I was at Corbin & Reynolds a few weeks ago and I saw the CUTEST idea for corks! They had them in planters. Instead of that saw dust stuff they used corks. I thought it was such a good idea.. ya have to drink a lot of wine to fill up 1 planter though..

Thanks for the ideas!
We don't really drink, so it would take us to our 50th anniversary to fill up a small planter.

Re: What can I do with a wine bottle?
do you have any pic's from the night?
How about making a collage on the bottle out of the pics (leaving the label exposed) and either use it as a vase...or candle holder?

I have a flattened bottle that we use as a cheese board. I bought it already flattened, but if you want, I can look for the woman's name who made it and FM you her contact info.
ETA: she is local - Nassau County

Re: What can I do with a wine bottle?
When I was at ceramics last night the owner showed us some wine/champagne bottles that she had flattened and she said she does it pretty cheap.
Not sure how close you are but its Rosemaries Ceramics in East Meadow.
