Re: I have a question for all the married ladies...
If its something really stupid Id be upset that he couldn't just tell me. I cant think of a time where he really has lied to me about somthing big.
Last time was something so small. He gave something to his dad and I went crazy looking for it. Then he said I gave it to my dad but didn't want to tell you. I wasn't upset about the lie I was more upset that he let me go crazy looking for something over something so small.

Re: I have a question for all the married ladies...
Thanks so much for the quick response. It is sort of something silly like that that prompted this post. It's just, as crazy as it sounds I feel like this is the hugest deal ever. I'm just looking to see whether this is something that other people have encountered to kind of guage whether I am overreacting if that makes sense...

No. That is one thing, he may make me mad from a lot of stupid crap at times and be unreasonable but he is very honest

Re: I have a question for all the married ladies...
I am BIG on the lying thing...HATE IT.
And i think it IS VERY wrong to lie (even if it is small) just to avoid an argument...IMO that kind of thinking can snowball into anything...That someone thinks it is ok to lie to avoid dealing with how you feel. And that is UNACCEPTABLE to me. Who's to say it wouldn't be about cheating one day...

I hate it too...but yes he has told me little white lies. It's in the male gene I think. I hate it.

If he ever lied to me he must be really good at it because I never found out. He's really honest and I highly doubt that he would. He may not tell me somethings, but he would never lie about anything. Even the smallest of lies, can amount to big trouble.

Re: I have a question for all the married ladies...
As far as I know my DH has never lied to me. He's not the type of guy to lie to avoid an arguement either. Trust is a huge part of our relationship so I don't think he would jeopardize that because we both feel the same way about how important it is.

Re: I have a question for all the married ladies...
I would say that my DH will often make "an attempt" at lying. If I ask him a question, he'll giggle and give me the *right* answer. Of course, because he can't keep a straight face, I know that he's full of crap.
He is the worst liar EVER. I think he tries to lie from time to time, usually because he didn't do housework, or he broke something in the house, etc. But, he's getting better at being honest.

Thanks girls. I appreciate the input. It always helps to put things in perspective when you hear what others have to say!

A little white lie is no big deal as long as it doesn't turn into something big...
