I really dontknowmuch either but IUD from what i understand is something they put under your armpit surgically and it can be there for up to 5 years. You also need to remove it surgically. I think the cost is b/w 3-500
Depo is a shot you take once every 3 months. I think the cost is $75
Sponge i heard about from Seinfeild....
This info is what I remember from when I was 17 and looking at what I wanted to do...So i might be wrong

Re: Lady Question
August 10, 2006 - The transdermal contraceptive patch has been touted as easy to use, but a new study says the patch is considerably less effective than the pill.
It found women who are considered to be at high risk of pregnancy appear more likely to continue with the use of oral contraceptive pills than with the contraceptive patch. Researchers reporting in the journal Obstetrics and Gynecology also found the pregnancy rate was markedly lower for pill users than for patch users.
Researchers looked at more than 1,200 women who underwent counseling at Planned Parenthood centers.

Re: Lady Question
I was on the ring and it was HORRIBLE. I am sure not everyone has this experience but it made me have my AF for OVER a month and I was SOO cranky on it.
Do some research then go to your Dr I say. I think everyone is very different and so not all forms of BC are for everyone.

Re: Lady Question
I was on Depo Provera a few years ago and as easy at is was (one shot every three months in the doctors office) and not having to deal with your period (which is kinda weird) ... I came off of it because I noticed a rapid weight gain and have not been able to lose it since ...

Re: Lady Question
Hey Jes if you have a hard time swallowing pills try to do it with Soy milk, it helps to coat the pill & your throat & it makes it easier to swallow.
Oh, and to answer your question I have only used condoms & spermicide since I was not a fan of all the side effects of the various pills.

Re: Lady Question
No, IUD is Inta-Uterine Device. It's a small copper or plastic instrument inserted into the uterus which prevents implantation.

I thought these were banned years ago. Have they reinvented them?

I did not know about them being banned, so I have no idea. I just wanted to correct b/c someoen said an IUD goes into your armpit.
I think it's norplant that goes into the armpit, but I'm not 100% it's been a long time since HS health class. lol
